Rural Micro Enterprise Promotion Programme (RuMEPP) at Region V
RuMEPP was a programme funded by IFAD with the Department of Trade and Industry as implementing agency in 2011 to 2013. The programme aimed to support rural micro enterprises through the provision of business development services [BDS] and microfinance. The projects delivered by bizFTC were under the BDS component. These include Business/Enterprise Management Trainings, Facilitating Business Registration and Licensing of MEs, Enterprise Development for Food Processors, ME Institutional Strengthening and Enhancement of Value Chain for Processed Food.
Two regular staff, the Team Leader and Project Development Associate served as primary service providers. Consultants were also contracted to provide specialized services to include advisory on enhancing package and labels, shelf-life and good manufacturing practices in food handling. Additional two  Trainers/ Consultants complemented in the conduct of trainings and capacity building for MEs. The project was implemented in the provinces of Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and Masbate in Region V.
