Training on Entrepreneurship, Assertiveness, Self-confidence and Economics (TEASE)
In 2009 to 2011, ChildatVenture, a Dutch NGO who advocated the development of the Philippine youth sector partnered with several NGOs in the Philippines to pilot-test a project called TEASE or Training on Entrepreneurship, Assertiveness, Self-confidence and Economics. ChildatVenture tapped private service providers like bizFTC to assist them in running TEASE. The TEASE Project offered a 10-day, staggered classroom sessions, capital assistance and mentoring to startup young entrepreneurs.
BizFTC Trainer/Consultant conducted series of trainings among potential, young entrepreneurs who were out-of-school and residing in Pasay, Tondo, Quezon City and Cavite. Mentoring sessions were provided to 120 youth assisted by ChildatVenture for about one a half years after the training.There were also 75 business plans prepared and provided with working capital, tools and equipment. Moreover, in March-April 2011, the Trainer/Consultant assisted ChildatVenture in setting up Youth@Venture Center to institutionalize the development efforts in the Philippine mainstream service providers for the youth sector.
